Return to Oz Pictures
Noon,
Famously Unknown, and I ended up getting to Return to Oz around 12:00 AM due to some complications. When we got to the gate and were asked for our Groovetickets reciept, I realised that I didn't print it out. The two girls working the front gate told me that I needed that receipt as well as the credit card used to purchase the tickets. I showed them my drivers license and credit card used to purchase the tickets, but they didn't find my name. When We were about to be turned around the second girl found my name. The first girl then said she would need my phone number since i didn't have my ticket, and then had me sign the paper to verify that I picked up the tickets. After I signed my name and got my license and card back the first girl asked me a rather odd question, "Do you have a girlfriend?" Rather then thinking about it, because of me being flustered about the ticket situation, I answered back "No, I don't have a girlfriend."
This is when it gets good...
She then said, "Good, because now I have your phone number."
Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Booyah! That's fantabulous! It totally hit me off guard!
She then waved us in and off we went.
Oh, by the way, I don't know who you were, but now that you DO have my phone number, make sure you do give me a call.
When we got to our parking spot
Noon and I geared up with all of our kandy. We noticed that it was pretty cold and wondered how that would fair for the rest of the night. Once we were all set and ready to go, to our happy surprise,
Princess Trooper and
Stoogie showed up and parked right next to us. Much good times since we just saw them last night! After we said our hello's and everyone was ready we headed off to the party.
At the vendor booths we bounced into
Philippe of
NeoSapiens, and some of his crew. We also got to bump in to Spaz,
Meeeshka,
David, and Jokers Wild. From the man Techno / Trance area I walked around back to the hookah area. There were glow in the dark hookahs with an assortment of flavored tobacco's. From here I went down to see where they were showing the Wizard of Oz in the chill spot. I then went up to the DnB area, where I bumped into
Camel, and then made my way around to the Hardcore, Happycore area. Down in Area 3 I bumped into
Seastar, snagged a picture, and then went back to Area 1.
On my way back to Area 1 I bumped into
En3rgy of
Kids of the Core, and
Heather. I chatted with them for a while about the current status of the rave scene, rave politics, ans such, and had a pretty good chat. He gave me a flyer and then headed off to continue his promotion for
Rave-O-Lution. I took a few pictures back at the main stage, and then headed over to the car to warm up and hang out with
Noon. We headed out to the main stage and got to see some of
Thee-O's set before we went back to the car. On one of our trips out to wander the party we bounced into
MissE. We chatted for a while until
Noon got cold. He headed back to the car but I hung out and chatted it up for a long while with
MissE and
Trojan Man.
Finally day broke and people started to leave around 8:00 AM the scheduled end time. There was a large group of people that stuck around a while longer and we took a huge group picture before everyone took off. All in all it was a good party, the only problem, which was under no one's control, was how cold it was. Guess it's about that time that the outdoor parties are going to come to a close.
