What is up all my beloved Riverside County ravers? i post this bulletin as a means to pull us all closer. i have relized that alot of people in riverside county have a very hard time making it to raves due to many reasons: Cost of gas, rides, distance, etc.... so please e-mail, instant message, or what have you, respond in any way, i am trying to create a community of ravers in riverside county in an atempt to make sure none of us are left behind for reasons listed above. if we all pull together we will bring alot more of riverside into the rave scene. Peace Love Unity Respect Responsibilty, all reasons to support this idea.

I would have no problem setting up forums for the different areas and such like how RaveLinks has done in their forums.

I would like more traffic to hit these forums, but I am also about spreading knowledge, so with that said there are 2 other forums that are a lot bigger then this one so make sure you check out:

As I said before I'm totally down to set that up here, just wanted to give everyone multiple options.

thanks for the links, but i would much rather there be one on ur site for a few reasons. 1) less clutter, more organized 2) its kinda hard to find what ur looking for on those sites, mainly because of the mass amounts of random forum topics. i would love to see a forum for rides specifically catgorized by city

Ok, I've got a forum up for rides to and from events called "Thumbing It" catch the hitchhikers' pun there?

Currently phpBB does not support categories, but their new version coming out within the next few months does. At that point I can have a category for rides, with subcategories for different areas.

It's a start for forum that's not busy.

man we are all about to make this forum fresh, i got alot of friends that im gonna tell to post here.

p.s. i use to run a froum on phpBB, but it was back when i was a big gamer, not much traffic..... ohh yeh and i can do some photoshop forur site if u wanted to spiff it up any, like re-do logos and such, maybe phpBB has updated since i used it and u can upload images to format the layout with, i know how do do some stuff, its not much, but it would help if u wanted it.

would it be cool if i put in the first forum topic, as like an introduction so i can layout what this is completly intended for? because we have a lot of e-tarded ravers (no offense i love um) they will probably look at the name thumbin it (nice pun btw) and giggle, not that its a bad name, but from it alone i dont think people will get it. hell! if u were cool with it i could moderate "thumbin it" but i dont know if this is just a you and sparrow thing. whatever your answers may be, i am looking forward to them!

p.s. i hope i can go to MM and drop some love, u took 2 pictures of me 1 at frooty loops, and 1 at return(my first, thx for capturing my virginity on camera) but i dought u would recognize me.

I've always tried to follow the rules to avoid the phrase "Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians." Until I have a core set of people posting here, there's no real point in assigning moderators. If the traffic picks up we'll talk.

As far as graphic design, I appreciate the offer and will remember it for later, but right now I'm just going to leave it as it is. Eventually when the new 3.0.x comes out I'll probably let some people make image sets and themes.

Feel free to invite whoever to the forums, that's what they're here for. My eventual hope is that when categories become available (in phpBB 3.0.x) I'll split the site up into better organization. I'll also set up usergroups so people can read only what they want and not have to try and search through hundreds of forums. I figure main layer and 1 sub layer with very infrequent used of a second sub layer, primarily because then you need to start hunting for what you want. Then again 3.0.x does allow you to have topics from sub-forums listed in the primary forum so... /shrug

Im telling all my friends to join asap! and if u ever need a favor of any sorts, just ask. i just want to see this site grow is all, i like it for a reason i cant figure out, it just has a home like fell to it. very comfertable i guess

I don't know what will go down with the forums, as I've done several others in the past and they can go downhill quick, but I've always tried to keep the whole site vibe very P.L.U.R.R.y.

No clue if I'll be able to keep a posting base and that vibe forever though...guess time will tell.

im gonna say, no matter what u do, as long as u keep posting pic's, you'll have some amount of traffic. hell ill post even if im the only member left.
so ill just draw in people and spread the word.

Oh and somthing i always wonder, do u think some people ask for u to take there picture without knowing who you are, or that they can get it from this site? cause im suprised to find out how many people have no clue what whaddup now is. so then i tell them to come and post

There are people who know who I am and ask for pictures because they know where to look.

There are people who don't know who I am but ask me to take their picture because they'll figure out where it is or they ask me where it will be.

And finally there are the people who don't have a clue who I am, but those people I usually try to help out and give them a business card if I have one so that they can find out about it later.

LOL hooray for rides for IE headz! 1W1D used to be based out of Riverside so we have a strong following there who sometimes cant make it to LA parties so you guys go!!!! Get dem kids rides!!!
